Glamper you say? Here is the meaning and where it originated from. This past Wednesday, we had a GIRLS NIGHT OUT! This rarely, if never happens in the land of Celeste. I ate, I drank, I karaoked, O MY!! Tons of fun. But it didn't start out that way. Why? Because.... LACK OF MAKE-UP! As I am getting ready for this monumental event, I sit down in front of the mirror to open up my 'so called' make-up bag and quickly realize that I don't have any. Well I did have some if you count the eyeliner that was so old it wouldn't leave a line on my lid or the eye shadow that was sparkly gold and purple which reminded me of something back in the STUDIO 54 days. Unbelievable! It just about blew my good mood and then I said to myself, "ROLL WITH WHATCHUGOT and NEVER let this happen again." In 20yrs I will regret not taking the time to go out and pamper myself with some new M.A.C. lip glass or eyelash mascara. The time is NOW for the glamour.
So this Friday, I will be at the mall smiling at the Chanel and M.A.C. makeup chicks saying "What will make my eyes smoulder, and my lips pout?" I WILL be ready for our next month's Girls' Night Out from start to the overly tipsy finish.
OMGosh! Is that why I don't come out of my house??? Well that does it...I need to go right downstairs into my daughters make and get started on Glamper! Haha! Just kidding! Preach it girl!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!!
ReplyDeleteGetting a little mini make over at those counters can really make you feel refreshed. I did it last winter--- and totally plan on doing it again this year.
I LOVE getting new makeup. Maybe it's the pretty packaging or the intriguing promise of a new product turning me into Angelina Jolie (hasn't happened yet ... that's have to be SOME product!) Still, it's big fun! Hope you enjoy the pampering!
ReplyDeleteI love the MAC counter and I also love for someone else to put my make up on me. I can never do it as good as they call. You do have a great blog here. That is why I gave you a blog award here:

I'm looking forward to reading next months post about girl's night out!
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it. I need a girl's night out.
Thanks for the follow. I am now diligently following both of your blogs.
What? No pictures of girl's night out? Next month...
ReplyDeleteWe all need a girls night out for sure... with or without makeup :)
ReplyDeleteNext time you have that problem with eyeliner (because let's face it, it happens all the time) light a match and hold it near the line for a few seconds. It will be completely rejuvenated! - But wipe off the soot and let it cool before using it!!
ReplyDeleteWell i could have all the make up in the world but I dont know what to do with it. My sister in law does all my make up when we go out. I feel like a movie star with a personal assistant and make up artist. Looks like make up or no make up you girls are going to keep the party going.
